Rans
Thomas, Senior Wildlife Biologist for Tecomate Wildlife Systems and
Director of Tecomate Consulting and Management is native to southeast
Georgia. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College graduating
in 1993 with AAS degrees in Wildlife and Forest Management and then
attended the University of Georgia graduating in 1998 with his BS
degree in Wildlife Management.
From
1991 to 2003, while in college and after graduation, Thomas worked as a
manager, guide, and/or wildlife biologist on six high caliber hunting
plantations in the southeast ending that part of his career after three
years as General Manager of the world renowned 23,000 acre Groton
Plantation in S.C.
Thomas
was operating his own private wildlife consulting firm in 2004 when he
met David Morris of Tecomate Wildlife Systems. Rans and David founded
Tecomate Consulting and Management http://www.tecomate.com/content/index.php/consulting
Since that time he has consulted for landowners in 14 different states
in the U.S. working with private lands, corporate and commercial
hunting lands and working with some high profile celebrities. His
extensive work, research, and consulting in advanced whitetail food
plot management led him to develop the Plot D-Fence System, a

Thomas
is a co-host of the Bucks of Tecomate on the Versus Channel hosted by
David Morris and Jeff Foxworthy. He also hosts the Management Minute
on each episode and has appeared as a guest host on Realtree's Monster
Bulls and Turkey Revolution.
